Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education.

Chapter projects focus on a variety of youth concerns, including teen pregnancy, parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, environment, nutrition and fitness, teen violence and career exploration.

Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication -- necessary in the home and workplace.

Our local FCCLA chapter participates in a membership drive at the start of every school year, planned by Mrs. Engel and the officers. This event is always fun because students enjoy an evening filled with fun, food, and games. On Halloween night, members dress up and Trick-or-Treat in the community collecting canned goods and other supplies for Care and Share. At Christmas time, our chapter "adopts" two children to buy gifts for through Care and Share. Another FCCLA project is selling flowers to students during both  the fall and winter homecoming weeks.

The White City chapter is affiliated with our state and national organizations. Members from our chapter have served as district officers and our chapter has been honored for its accomplishments.
