Friends of the Public Library

All "Friends" activities are open to the public.  We have enjoyed the response of members of the community and invite all to come and join in the fun.

Membership fees are due for 2009 and will be gratefully received.  Annual dues are $25 for a family membership, $10 for an individual membership, $5 for a student membership, and $5 for a senior membership.  Dues can be mailed to Friends of the White City Public Library, P.O. Box 86, White City, KS  66872.  If you do not have a membership form, please include the following information with your dues payment:  Name, address, e-mail if available, and telephone number.

2009 Projects

Angie Schwerdfeger, Tri County Telephone (TCT) Director or Public Relations, will address the Friends of the White City Public Library about the TCT Community Development Initiative, and discuss how TCT will be able to assist the Friends Group with their projects.
 

The meeting will be held Sunday February 28, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Angie will address the group first. The community is welcome to attend. Election of Officers will be conducted. See you there!

• Continue collecting memories of former Rural School students in view of publishing a book ~ Watch for an upcoming work date

• Book Review and discussions

• Continue to input the Rural School memories in computer throughout the year

• Purchased three books for the library:  Marley and Me and Longest Trip Home by John Grogan and Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks
